I know, first world problems and all that, but I'm so utterly tired of Openreach and their willy-nilly approach to upgrading our local infrastructure, I'm now seriously considering getting a leased line to our studio at home.

Benefit: FAST, stable, symmetrical, SLA, more expensive than most other options (but nowhere near as expensive as it used to be). Downside: installation costs, time to provisioning.

I should probably just get over it, but I've realised how much daily frustration has been endured over the years because of our ageing infrastructure. Sure, living in a semi-rural location has it's advantages. Good broadband is not one of them.

And so begins the dance of getting quotes, weighing up pros and cons. Talk Talk Business come in cheapest, but I've heard horror stories. Independent ISP, more expensive but more personal service = extra 50 quid a month.
