      1. I see a lot of experimentation with new CSS (v units, grid, etc) trying to recreate the 'freedom' there is with print. Ask any print designer, though, and the first thing to consider is imposing structure and constraints. Not every blank sheet of paper becomes a poster.

      Most of my typography degree – and a good few years of my early design career – were designing very tightly constrained printed matter: catalogues, books, encyclopaedia, prospectus. No posters. No freeform crazy design. Structure, constraints, discipline.
