I was reading about Côr Tewdws this morning. It was Britain’s oldest established school, the ruins of which are buried below the local Norman church in the town I live. Occasionally we have religious tourists making the trip here especially to see it. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cor_Tewdws

According to records, there were seven churches and it housed between 2000 and 2400 students. Which is pretty crazy when you consider the size of this tiny town.
