  1. I remember when Apple changed to Intel processors. Took at least 18 months before I'd class them as operational. No way I'd buy an M1 laptop for at least a year based on that last experience.

      Granted, that was mostly a software issue. But the OS was pretty ropey. As were issues with graphics cards and 3rd party hardware and peripherals.

        Definitely a good time to buy the previous Intel model(s). Solid hardware platform. Working peripherals. Working software. Hefty discount, no doubt.
