  1. Reinterpretation is the lifeblood of any artistic or design pursuit. It's why we see so many designers with broad tastes, hoarding books, trinkets, taking photographs. It's not the thing that's important, but the memory it forms and moment you might need it again.

      I'm reminded of this today whilst digging deep into graphic design memories and hoarded books and ephemera. The reinterpretation of the memory leads to new directions. This is why broad visual research over years is important. It leads to richer work when recalled.
