    @irPhunky @OfficeOfWilson In typesetting for print, I was always taught to get rid of them (hard return to allow for two words, or carry over an extra line to the next page). Less of an issue digitally. And, even in print, it seems less of a requirement to get of them these days.

      @irPhunky @OfficeOfWilson In terms of readability – for example, in a book – it does hamper visual flow, but weirdly, because of that, they can increase retention (I read some studies years ago on this). But for digital, it seems this level of control over typesetting is neither achievable nor desirable.
