I have my own theory… Making really great digital products and experiences takes flexible, broadly skilled, talented teams. People who know each other and enjoy working *together*. Tight specialisms erode flexibility. Teams win.

Scaling to a template of what a good design org should look like ignores many things: people, culture, business needs. But most of all, it can destroy really great, functional teams who love making amazing digital experiences. Finding that recipe is so very, very hard.
