  1. I still maintain that PDF is probably the best archival medium for digital content. Looking back twenty years, PDFs are still accessible, maintain their original form, relatively small file size, no dependencies. How many websites can claim that?

      You know, I’d probably pay for a digital archival service that I can build something to that is a. Non-profit. b. Accepts just HTML and/or PDF.

      Now I’m thinking my own website should have a PDF archive. Or at the very least a super stripped down, no CSS, JS, no other stuff like info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html

      Yes, HTML *should* the better. Of course. But, history tells us, it’s not. And it’s getting worse. Imagine in twenty years time trying to get something running with today’s build frameworks.
