      This year’s Giro has been a bit disappointing tbh. The route. The weather. The slow ride-off-the-wheel attacks up the climbs. I get the organisers are in a tricky spot. But, look at tv figures, podcast listeners (according to Lanterne Rouge)…

    … result in lower numbers. The whole point for the organisers is higher numbers whilst trying to balance the route for teams (sprint/climber etc). But, this year’s route hasn’t delivered imo. Hoping for more for Le Tour in a few weeks time.

      Especially the double Ventoux stage, but finishing in Malaucene is a puzzle. I’ve ridden that descent a few times and it’s sketchy in parts with very little chance of gaining time. Should’ve been a summit finish.
