  1. I’ve been thinking about The Work. And how other factors around the work - like the people we work with, the org and it’s mission, the salary and benefits. There’s a lot that goes into it. But should the work be enough? Enough to get you out of bed in the morning?

      I remember one of the first art directors I worked with said to me ‘the work should be enough’. I like the idea and the focus that entails.

        But we’re not islands are we? So I’d probably put that alongside @espiekermann’s advice: ‘Don’t work with assholes’.
