To me this highlights the problem of conflating design with code. Whilst this code base will be decommissioned, the design remains and can be rebuilt. Design systems cost loads. So, for the longevity of design investment, it might be helpful to reframe the current zeitgeist of design systems as component libraries instead. Again. I dunno. Lots to be gained from having design tightly woven into deliverable components tho.On twitter.com
