    1. I still think that PDF is a good document archival format. Yes, accessibility, search, etc are all historically horrible. And HTML should be better, but just look, historically we haven't done well there. Link rot. URL's change. Tooling changes. PDFs are like time capsules.

    And yes, I know the 'PDFs are evil' viewpoint is completely valid (I'm there with you). But, talk to an archivist or digital librarian. HTML is a problem due to the other technical dependencies. It shouldn't be, but it is.
