    @StuRobson @nathan_ford I'd say they almost entirely serve the company's interests. Usually to mitigate under-resourcing. Or to help cross silos. To the user, if anything, it can be a diminished (but more holistic) experience. The cost of design scale is nuanced experiences.

      @StuRobson @nathan_ford At least that's been my experience of them for the past decade or so. Different companies have subtly different challenges, but it boils down to cost saving/lack of design resources.
