      This diagram, though… I sort of get it. But, I do wonder if this type of thinking promotes continual spinning in the problem space whilst simultaneously perpetuating design’s increasing absence from the shipping space.

    I felt this acutely in my last leadership role. A science org that was very, very comfortable in the problem space, who hired stakehodlers who preferred to be there vs people who were very skilled at shipping product.

      Turns out that when you get a bunch of stakeholders with science research backgrounds, they are not the people best placed to make decisions (and provide support) for shipping product. That diagram favours *design* instead of *production*. There always needs to be production.
